I first became interested in working within mental health through my volunteer work where I gained experience in different settings including in a Psychiatric ward. After completing my degree in Psychology, I then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in 2015. Since then, I have worked in a range of settings including in GP surgeries and a range of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services as a Locum CBT therapist.
I am passionate about working together with people to support positive mental health, and this passion has only continued to grow, especially with the current impacts COVID 19 has had on mental health. One particular area that I have always been very passionate about is reaching people who may not be able to access face to face therapy. Over the last few years, I have gained experience in delivering CBT remotely and this has included telephone, video and also webchat.
I am fully accredited with the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
