Therapies

A talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. CBT is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems

A talking therapy that involves a trained counsellor listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Sometimes the term “counselling” is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.

A psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.

A structured therapy for people suffering with low mood or depression. A central idea in IPT is that psychological symptoms, such as depressed mood, can be understood as a response to current difficulties in our everyday interactions with others.
