Welcome to Blue Talking Therapies. We are a close team of highly experienced and fully accredited psychotherapists and counsellors.

We care deeply about helping people recover from mental health issues and only used evidence based talking therapies to achieve this. At Blue Talking Therapies we offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Counselling, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR).

A talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. CBT is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems

A talking therapy that involves a trained counsellor listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Sometimes the term “counselling” is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.

A structured therapy for people suffering with low mood or depression. A central idea in IPT is that psychological symptoms, such as depressed mood, can be understood as a response to current difficulties in our everyday interactions with others.

A psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.  

Blue Talking Therapies is a fully confidential service, located in discreet and comfortable therapy rooms in North Tyneside. We are accessible via the Metro system, local bus routes and there is plenty of free parking outside and around our building.
